Expo 2020 Dubai is an opportunity to improve the country's economic situation

The export of cultural, technical, and engineering services, resulting from the Expo 2020 Dubai negotiations, will improve the national economic problems of the decrease in the monetary value in the past few years.

Dr. Ebrahim Nabiuni, Deputy of the National Park of Science and Soft Technologies of Cultural Industries, in an interview with SinaPress, about the mechanism of Iran's presence in Dubai Expo 2020, said: "As you know, Expo is an international exhibition that attracts global attention from most countries and is known as the Olympics and the World Cup of cultural activities."
He added: "This event is of great commercial and international importance and since it is held every five years, it is an opportunity to advance the trade and economic goals of all nations. Although this Expo is scheduled for 2020, it will be held this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic last year."
Nabiuni said: "The most important component of Expo 2020 Dubai is the direct introduction of the cultural, commercial and economic aspects of the countries without intermediaries. This event will greatly contribute to the formation of our trade cooperation with other countries; In addition, we can make good use of other's capacities leading to paving the ground for foreign investment. Therefore, the National Park of Soft Sciences and Technologies and Cultural Industries has entered into negotiations with the House of Business Development, to participate in Expo 2020 Dubai."
He continued: "Following this cooperation, we raised issues, one of which is sending business delegations in the form of private companies, organizations, institutions, and startups."
It is worth mentioning that participating in this event is not only for startups and knowledge-based companies, and cultural and commercial industries and even banks can make good use of their capacities in this exhibition.
Referring to the importance of this great international event for Iran, Nabiuni said: "Iran's presence in Expo 2020 is important as this event is held once in every five years and takes place in our neighbouring country which naturally makes it easier to participate."
He continued: "In this regard, the House of Trade Development, together with the National Park of Soft Sciences and Technologies and Cultural Industries and the Najin Tourism Complex, is trying to send at least one thousand representatives from commercial companies to visit Dubai."
Nabiuni announced the start of registrations in the next week and said: "National Park of Soft Sciences and Technologies and Cultural Industries is pursuing coordination between these companies and organizations in a standard context so that the expo is considered as the main pillar of activity to the public."
It is worth mentioning that the registration process will start in the next week.
He continued: "We are coordinating with the Vice President for Science and Technology and the Innovation Fund in the field of creative industries so that we can figure out effective economic and cultural events."
He considered participation in Expo 2020 as a way out of economic problems and said: "Expo 2020 Dubai provides an opportunity for companies and business owners in the field of cultural industries to be able to use their capacities; In addition, it gives an effective mindset of Iran's capabilities to the participating countries. Considering the decline in our monetary value in the past few years, the export of technical services, engineering, and even products in Expo 2020 Dubai can contribute significantly to the economic and employment problems in the national dimension."
Nabiuni referred to other cooperating organizations and ministries and said: cooperation has started with many organizations and ministries, including the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, Vice President for Science and Technology, Innovation and Prosperity Fund, Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Bank Cooperations, Chamber of Commerce, Insurance, and Free Economic Zones. We have also reached an agreement with the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Ministry of Labor to participate in Expo 2020 Dubai. Moreover, negotiations have been held with the Jahad-e Daneshgahi which has three science and technology parks and a number of growth and innovation centers.
In this regard, SinaPress News Agency and other media assigned to Jahad-e Daneshgahi are expected to introduce the expo to the people.
He continued: The National Park of Soft Sciences and Technologies and Cultural Industries pays special attention to the media of the Jahad-e Daneshgahi in order to increase the speed of news transmission as the media can also be a good showcase for expo capacities.
